About this musical offering...

We are pleased to re-issue this recording from our “3rd Annual Mid-Winter Festival of Music” in 2001. The concert is based on research by our guest artist, Judith Overcash Acres, during her studies at Case Western Reserve University, where she earned a Doctoral degree in Historical Performance Practices in 2001. (We have made some minor editing decisions and also omitted one piece.) We hope you enjoy this intimate exploration of music in England from the end of the 12th century to the early 14th century.

Recorded live, February 4, 2001 at First English Lutheran Church, Austin, TX. Jay Norwood, engineer.
