Weekend 1

	Friday, Jan. 28 First English Lutheran Church, 8:00pm 30th & Whitis [map] Admission: $13 general; $10 students and seniors	TEMP kicks off its season with a concert presentation of Handel's opera "Rinaldo," an heroic tale of militaristic intrigue, sorcery and passionate love, featuring Francisca Vanherle, Jenifer Thyssen, Chris LeCluyse, and Brett Barnes, with Stephanie Prewitt in the title role. John Aielli returns as the narrator. Meet the performers at a special reception following the performance.
	Saturday, Jan. 29 First English Lutheran Church, 8:00pm 30th & Whitis [map] Admission: $10 general; $8 students and seniors	Romanesca Italiana: Lively Baroque chamber music from 17th-century Italy. Corelli, Scarlatti and more, featuring Laurie Young Stevens, violin, and Andrus Madsen, harpsichord.
	Sunday, Jan. 30 First English Lutheran Church, Pre-concert lecture at 6:45pm Concert at 7:30pm 30th & Whitis [map] Admission: $13 general; $10 students and seniors	Repeat performance of Handel's "Rinaldo," with a pre-concert lecture at 6:45 by UT musicologist and Handel specialist, Professor David Hunter.

Weekend 2

	Saturday, Feb. 5 First English Lutheran Church, 8:00pm 30th & Whitis [map] Admission: $10 general; $8 students and seniors	Baritone John Aielli and pianist Nancy Garrett (playing her Graf fortepiano) perform Schubert's "Die schöne Müllerin" and other early Classical delights.
	Sunday, Feb. 6 First English Lutheran Church, 7:30pm 30th & Whitis [map] Admission: $10 general; $8 students and seniors	Northern Nights: English Renaissance and Baroque music from Jan Jackson's ensemble, Passing Measures, and 17th- and 18th-century Scottish ballads from Texas Early Music Project.

Weekend 3

	Saturday, Feb. 12 First English Lutheran Church, 8:00pm 30th & Whitis [map] Admission: $10 [not included in season pass]	La Follia Austin Baroque presents "The Millennium Concert:1600, 1700, 1800" with special guest William Cory, fortepiano. Commemorate the turn of the millennium with music from the turnings of centuries past and present.
	Sunday, Feb. 13 First English Lutheran Church, 7:30pm 30th & Whitis [map] Admission: $10 general; $8 students and seniors	A La Fontana: Experience some of the most intimate and passionate music of medieval times in this concert of 12th- and 13th-century troubadour songs, along with cantigas and dances from Spain. Featuring Daniel Johnson and friends, with guest performers Tom Zajac and Kit Robberson.

Weekend 4

	Saturday, Feb. 19 First English Lutheran Church, 8:00pm 30th & Whitis [map] Admission: $10 general; $8 students and seniors	Using a variety of early harps, Therese Honey returns with an evening of stories and songs from the Celtic tradition.
	Sunday, Feb. 20 First English Lutheran Church, 7:30pm 30th & Whitis [map] Admission: $10 general; $8 students and seniors	"It's About Time: Journeys." Expect the unexpected as Texas Early Music Project embarks on a musical and theatrical journey through the stages of life with early music at its heart. Seeming incongruities reveal surprising connections.

Weekend 5

	Friday, Feb. 25 McCullough Theatre, 8:00pm The University of Texas Campus [map] Admission: $12 general/$9 seniors and UT ID Tickets available at UTTM Ticket Centers and at the door. [not included in the season pass]	The UT Opera Theater and TEMP combine to present a fully staged production of Handel's "Alcina," an opera of illusion, deception, and magic. Soprano Kerry French reprises the title role she created for the 1999 Mid-Winter Festival. Stage direction by Dr. Robert DeSimone.
	Sunday, Feb. 27 McCullough Theatre, 7:00pm The University of Texas Campus [map] Admission: $12 general/$9 seniors and UT ID Tickets available at UTTM Ticket Centers and at the door. [not included in the season pass]	Repeat performance of UT Opera Theater and TEMP's production of Handel's "Alcina."

Mid-Winter Festival Ticket Information
Ticket prices are listed in the schedule above. Save time and money with a six-performance pass, good for any concert except the La Follia and UT Opera Theater performances: $54.00 general or $43.00 students and seniors, a 14% savings on the single ticket prices. Members of Early Music America or the Austin Circle of Theaters receive a discount of $1 per concert. Tickets for Texas Early Music Project performances will be available through subscription (512/371-0099 or 512/371-7753), at AusTix (512/454-TIXS [454-8497]) beginning in early January, or at the door.

Tickets for the UT Opera Theater production of Handel's Alcina will be available at UTTM Ticket Centers and at the door.
