Nooshin Wilson
Nooshin Wilson, Alto
Nooshin Wilson, mezzo-soprano, is a native Texan and alumna of the University of Texas at Austin, where she graduated Phi Beta Kappa in 2018 with degrees in English and Plan II Honors. During undergrad, Nooshin sang with the University of Texas Chamber Singers under the direction of Dr. James Morrow. Since then, she has performed with many Austin vocal ensembles, including Texas Early Music Project, Austin Cantorum, Texas Bach Festival, and Chorus Austin Chamber Ensemble. She is the featured soloist on the track "Timeless," from GRAMMY-nominated pop-rock band October Project's 2021 album with Chorus Austin Chamber Ensemble, The Book of Rounds: Choral Edition.
Additionally, Nooshin is a published poet nationally and internationally. She completed two full-length poetry manuscripts as an undergraduate, and her work has been set to music by several local composers. When her nose isn’t buried in a book or musical score, you can find Nooshin at St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church where she serves as the Director of Communications, or on a coffee run with her husband Miles and their two three-legged dogs, Margo and Simon.
